Visa Information

All visitors except those from Nepal and Bhutan require a visa to enter India. Passport holders from 166 countries are eligible to apply for an e-visa.  Tourist versions of the e-visa are issued in either one month, one year or five year increments while the conference version of the e-visa is only valid for one month. The fee depends on your country of residence and type of visa applied for.

Those with parents or grandparents who were born in or lived in Pakistan are ineligible to obtain an e-visa and must apply for a regular paper visa.  Residents from countries not eligible for e-visa must also apply for paper visa. Please check with the closest Indian Consulate to your home for additional information. Application timelines and fees vary by location.
